Digital
X-rays
- We know that many of you worry about the amount of radiation
you might potentially receive. Because digital radiographs
require 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays, you can
relax
the radiation is so low, you no longer have to
wear a lead apron. The digital radiograph makes it easier
to detect, diagnose, and plan treatment long before problems
become visible to the naked eye.
TMJ
- More than 10 million people in the United States suffer
from this painful condition affecting the area where the lower
jaw connects to the sides of the skull and which may spread
to the ears, neck, and shoulders.
Tomo
- We use a "complex motion tomography" machine which
is an x-ray process that provides the doctor with layered
views or "slices" or "cuts" of anatomical
structures. These "slices" or "cuts" are
superior to most plain film techniques, because they allow
the doctor to see underlying structures that are obstructed
on conventional x-rays.
Sleep
Disorders, Apnea and Snoring
- 75 million people in the U.S. suffer from snoring and as
many as 18 million Americans suffer from undiagnosed and untreated
sleep apnea, a condition in which the airway completely closes
during sleep.
Laser
- Dental lasers are modifications of medical lasers that have
been in use since the 1960's and are a safe and effective
treatment for a variety of dental problems. Using a precise
beam of concentrated light energy, lasers can treat gum disease,
de-sensitize teeth, and even whiten teeth.
Neuromuscular
- In addition to teeth, there are also muscles, joints, nerves
and blood vessels that make up the whole head and neck complex.
Neuromuscular dentistry evaluates and treats those soft tissues
to reduce many head and neck problems.
Orthodontics
- It is important that orthopedic and orthodontic problems
be treated early in order to guide the growth of our younger
patients.
Endodontics
- When the pulp inside your tooth becomes painfully inflamed
or infected, endodontic treatment is used to eliminate the
problem and relieve the pain.
Implants
- A dental implant is a small "anchor"
made of titanium. It is inserted to take the place of your
missing tooth root. After the surrounding bone has attached
to the implant, a replacement tooth is secured to the top
of the implant. The new tooth looks, feels, and performs just
like your natural teeth. Call if you'd like more info immediately.
