Our
practice philosophy
begins with the often
forgotten idea of treating patients with the respect and consideration
that they deserve, by providing each and every one with a complete
exam, diagnosis and treatment plan for the mouth, as it is a part
of the entire human body.
We
provide comprehensive dental services, for the child, adult and
senior patient.
We
have networked with a wide range of specialists and we know when
a referral is necessary.

Cosmetic
dentistry is nothing new. For more than twenty-five years,
we have been building smiles with the best in esthetic dentistry.
For twenty years, we have been brightening smiles by treating the
facial pain patient, making it possible for this patient to have
something to smile about. For more than fifteen years, we have been
building faces to go along with those smiles by providing patients
with orthodontic services. Not just to straighten crooked teeth,
but to also orthopedically guide facial development through functional
orthodontics.

For
the past fifteen years, we have tried to put a twinkle
in the eye of that smiling patient by providing them with state-of-the-art
neuromuscular dentistry. Yes, when beautifully arranged teeth can
come together with good head and body posture, with the facial muscles
relaxed, then that smiling patient will have a twinkle in the eye.
The cosmetically designed smile, the orthodontically arranged teeth,
the reconstructed mouth; they all will be more comfortable, they
will look more natural, and they will last longer. Neuromuscular
dentistry is imperative for cosmetics, orthodontics, implants, full
mouth reconstruction, treating facial pain and especially treating
the full denture patient.

This
is dentistry for the twenty-first century, employing
new technology as it becomes available. All of these services are
provided by our office. Patients don't have to travel to New York
City for high-end services anymore. Besides, in all of New York
City there are less than four offices providing such services. We
are proud to provide the New York Metropolitan area with these services.
Dr.
Joseph M. Gulak
|
Dr. Gulak has been in private practice since 1974 in Middletown,
NY. Since
1980, he has been diagnosing and treating craniofacial disorders
which are chronically and traumatically induced as well as
reconstruction of the dentition. Extensive studies in this
field have allowed him to learn from many experts on neuromuscular
occlusion as it relates to craniofacial and craniocervical
dysfunction. In 2003 Dr. Gulak attained the distinguished
credential of ICCMO
Fellow for his high level of achievement in the diagnosis
and treatment of cranio-mandibular disorders, and for professional
efforts to advance the science of the biophysics and physiology
of the head and neck.

Hygiene
Department
| The
hygienists employed in our office are licensed by the New York
State Board of Dental Examiners. They each participate in continuing
education every year and most have received advanced training
and certification in preventive periodontal treatment. Each
of our hygienists is dedicated to increasing their knowledge
of professional skills which results in a high level of professional
diagnostic skills not routinely delivered by dental hygienists. |
Dental
Assistant
|
The dental
assistant is an integral part of our dental team. She has
come to us because she shares our beliefs and values in helping
us deliver the highest quality of technical care that is possible.
In our office, the dental assistant helps to make your visits
pleasant,
before - by informing you completely of what
will be done at each appointment,
during - by assuring that any premedications,
audio-analgesia, or other discomfort reducing procedures are
planned with your restorative procedures, and
after - by ensuring that you are comfortable
after the treatment is completed.
